I Need Your Help

For the second time in 2 weeks, I opened the Instagram app to a page that caused me to drop my phone and scream. The first time with devastation, the second time with anger.

And sure, it might sound dramatic, because it was.

It felt like I’d woken up ready to start another work day at my dream career, one I’d given everything to be successful in, only to find myself in a locked cell, with no phone call, no charges, and no appeal process, just a single note crumpled in my lap.

‘You have been disabled. No one can see or find you. All your information, everything you have built, will be permanently deleted.’

In the 30 seconds following, my brain flashed at me the reality of what this meant.

Years of work, thousands of posts, and an audience of nearly half a million, lost. Time dedicated to learning, working, and building, sacrificing time with my children, I won’t get back to secure their future, wasted. Effort, investment and pushing myself to a burnout that nearly killed me, lost.

Memories, networking connections, and content that genuinely changed people’s lives. Removed.

The income stream I rely on to keep a roof over my babies’ heads and food in their bellies, the income stream that supports my employees and their families. Gone.

The access to information, resources, and community that so many find support in. Deleted.

My voice, silenced.

No warning, no reason, no ability to appeal.

Combining that with the fact I’m currently having to go through court to see my child, with the last year of health issues and struggles ruining my finances, and it kind of feels like the walls are caving in from every angle. Six months ago, this could have probably ended me; luckily, I’m sober and have developed tools to keep me grounded, but I think a scream was justified.

I’m not alone in this. Discrimination, deplatforming and censorship that disproportionately impact people in my field are not new. I have lost many platforms, been denied payment processors, and lost access to banking because of the legal work I pay taxes to do. Since the Online Safety Act has come into effect, this has escalated to thousands of accounts like mine being deactivated, quite literally ruining the lives of some of the most vulnerable in society and blocking your access to information, community and support. Thevulvagalary, makelovenotporn, Lorna Jean, BSWC, queer charities, rights groups, community events pages, even the cervical cancer hashtag was removed!

What we need to remember, though, is that the community of incredible sex positive people who follow and support me isn’t lost; I just can’t currently access all of them. With your help, I can reach them.

By reporting my account missing daily, and following and sharing my new account content, you are showing Meta that this content matters. You’re not just supporting me — you’re helping keep shame-free, inclusive sex education alive. You’re passing on stories in a world of book burning.

Humans deserve access to education, community and support. They deserve to make informed decisions about their bodies and lives. They deserve to know that they aren’t broken, or weird, or gross, they’re human, and they deserve to live a life thats authentic and pleasurable. That’s my mission, that’s my message, that’s what I was deactivated for sharing.

I leave you with a final note, and a request for help.

‘A choir can hold an eternal note, for when one singer needs to rest, the others will continue to sing for them’.

Will you sing with me?

I’ll be returning to my fun content as soon as, ready to continue the mission and maintain my status as a whimsical catastrophe. As they say in the rooms, may we have the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, the courage to change the things we can and the wisdom to know the difference.

Thankyou,

Love Always,
